The Midwives: Pam George

Becoming a nurse midwife has always been my dream and long-term goal since graduating from the Medical College of Georgia School of nursing in 1996. However, being a military wife for the last 15 years, we went where the Army needs were and midwifery schools were not. I enjoyed this time working as a labor and delivery nurse and starting our own family in beautiful areas throughout our great nation to include Georgia, Colorado, and Texas. Finally, thanks to technology and a retired husband I fulfilled my dream and graduated with my Masters in nurse midwifery from the University of Cincinnati in 2010.
After a brief adventure in Alaska, we returned to San Antonio and I joined the Lone Star family.
I take great pride in caring for women throughout their life span and allowing natural processes to take place but also having the tools and education necessary to intervene when needed or desired. It is a privilege and honor to care for women, welcome new life into the world, and be present in the creation of a family.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 young kids. We enjoy camping, riding motocross and 4 wheelers, playing in the water, or anything we can do fun as a family. I love being a midwife and believe everyone deserves a little chocolate everyday – even if it has to be sugar free.
